Facebook is an amazing thing, it was by chance (lucky chance) that one day I saw a post from someone who I didn’t even remember “friending”, we had friends in common from 2 parts of my life and I can see how we would be good facebook friends This post resulted in more than just becoming facebook friends and I am very grateful for that. Rach and I met for photos and have met a few times since then (remember my amazing breastfeeding photos), we have become wonderful friends, business mentors to each other and just recently business partners (more to come on that very soon hopefully!). I was very excited when Rach asked me if I could capture her beautiful family, then the day came and I got a bit nervous, what if I don’t do this beautiful family justice, what if I don’t get the shots that Rach had in her head (I’m a photographer, I know photographers have shots in their heads (all.the.time!)). But I took a deep breath, trusted our friendship and set out to capture the love and happiness that radiates from this lovely family.

Rach, I hope I have done your family justice, thank you for asking me to do this. As Rach knows I have a tendency to overshoot, so its to be expected that this preview is big, too big to post in 1 go, so this is part 1, part 2 will follow tomorrow (i’ll keep you hanging just a little longer Rach xxxx)

Jacki & Brock – married – {Gold Coast Wedding Photography}

On Saturday I was extremely honored to second shoot for a dear friend and awesome photographer Rachael Fowler. I was also honoured that Jacki and Brock allowed us to be part of their beautiful beautiful day.
Such a stunning wedding, it was beautiful, full of love, relaxed and genuine – alot like Jacki and Brock, this wedding was simply perfect. Jacki and Brock – hope your life together is just like your special day and always full of love and laughter xx

For me it was great second shooting for Rach, makes such a difference have 2 cameras, 2 pairs of eyes to see things as well as someone to keep you company! Like Rachael said, if you haven’t booked us for your wedding – you should, and if you can’t book us, then definitely think about have a pair of photographers!
We ended up with so many amazing images, it was pretty hard to choose just a couple to blog.

20+ a proud post and a competition! – {Gold Coast Photographer}

Life has been hectic here and I have a a few sessions that I really need to blog, but today I wanted to take the time and celebrate!
This year was the year for me to strive towards reaching goals, the 1st one was to lose weight. I have lost count of the amount of times I have attempted to lose weight and never got to goal. Lite & Easy, Weight Watchers, No carb, Shakes, tried them all, fairly unsuccessfully! 17 years ago I met my amazing husband and was 64kg (which I thought was overweight!!) 1 1/2 years later we got pregnant with our 1st son and at my 1st Dr’s appt I was 72kg, I got back there about a year after my son was born and got pregnant with my daughter, and again at my 1st Dr’s appt with my 3rd son, back at 72kg – that was 11 years ago and I have never got close to that again.
Before we went to Bali for Christmas I was at my heaviest non-pregnant weight of 92kg, it was then after hearing a few friend’s success stories that I registered for Michelle Bridges 12 week body transformation that was due to start January 16th.

The day after this photo was taken I got a crazy sinus infection (I think) which made everything taste rotten. Because of this I went 9 days without eating anything and 2 weeks until I ate a proper meal (if you call pizza a proper meal lol), What a great way to kickstart my weight loss! Being sick saw me drop just over 6 kg in 2 weeks, however the minute I started eating I put just over a kg of it back on in a day or 2. It was then I decided I couldn’t wait for the 12wbt to start, I had to start then and there, I was going to get rid of this excess weight once and for all!
So on Monday 9th of January weighing in at 86.5kg I bought Michelle Bridge’s Crunchtime book and haven’t looked back since. On Monday 16th Jan I started at the gym, I finally got off the couch(computer chair). I religiously followed the 12wbt “pre-season” tasks, getting myself (and my family) ready for this new way of life. My family have been amazing!
By the time the 12wbt officially started on Wednesday Feb 15th I was 79.7 kg – my goal was to make it under 80kg by start date – 1st goal done! I was loving the gym, loving the food, I can do this. I could run 1km -just!

Today was Week 6 weigh in, almost 1/2 way through the challenge and I hit my 2nd goal – to get under 72kg! Today I weighed in at 71.1 kg, the lightest I have been in nearly 16 years and 3kg from my next goal and 7kg away from my ultimate goal. Not only have I lost weight (21kg since Xmas, 9kg on the 12wbt), I have found more zest for life, I have lost more than 25cm and can now run 6km without stopping.
My kids are proud, they love the food we are all eating, my lovely hubby who is always supportive is also proud, I am so grateful for their support and have to say pretty darn proud of hubby who has also lost 7kg!
So thats my story so far, next time what do I have instore??? I will be at goal and I will have run an 8km fun run!

Dalton – 6 months – {Gold Coast Family Photographer}

I was very excited to welcome Dalton back to the studio as part of his time flies package. I can’t believe this little man is 6 months already and he is not such a little man now! This gorgeous boy is thriving,gone is the dark hair, think he is going to be a gorgeous blue eyed blondie!!

Cassie and Brendon, thanks for coming. Can’t wait for the 1 year shoot, even though it will be a little bittersweet, your baby is growing up so quick!

Haylee – progressive maternity 12 weeks – {Gold Coast maternity photographer}

You may recognise Haylee from a beautiful weeding I captured last year. I was so excited when she contacted me to say she was pregnant and very excited about the prospect of doing a progressive maternity shoot over the next 6-7 months.

So here is the 1st one – Haylee looking absolutely gorgeous at 12 weeks pregnant. Am looking forward to seeing how she has grown when she comes back this week for her 16 week shoot! Only a few more weeks until we find out if its pink or blue booties!! (It’s not both!).

At 12 weeks this adorable baby is about the size of a peach!

So happy for you and Kris, Haylee.

Lovely Locklan :) – {Gold Coast Newborn Photographer}

Life has been crazy and I apologise for being a slack blogger! Hopefully coming up this week – a maternity shoot, a newborn, a 7 weeker, a 6 month and 10 family shoots (part of a fundraiser)! But for now, this gorgeous little man. I photographed his big brother when he was newborn, always lovely to catch up with families again! Locklan was a little stubborn like his brother to start with but he soon succumbed to sleep and gave us a gorgeous collection of awake and sleepy shots.

Some beach family fun! – {Gold Coast Family Photographer}

After having to reschedule because of the lovely Gold Coast summer rain, it was lovely to have a dry day to capture this lovely family. These guys were here on holiday from the NT so it was a good chance to get some treasured portraits.
We go so many gorgeous shots so I have gone a little overboard with this preview.

Thanks for a fun afternoon guys. Hopefully next time we can get dad here for pics too!!
